Former President Joe Biden is preparing for his next career path, signing with talent agency, CAA.
Biden was previously represented by the agency from 2017 to 2020, during which he published his #1 New York Times bestselling memoir, “Promise Me, Dad,” embarked on the 42-date “American Promise” tour, and headlined major speaking engagements. It’s unclear what Biden has planned, but another memoir and even a possible biopic could be in the works, based on his life, presidency, and leaving the White House for the final time.
“President Biden is one of America’s most respected and influential voices in national and global affairs,” said CAA co-chairman Richard Lovett. “His lifelong commitment to public service is one of unity, optimism, dignity, and possibility. We are profoundly honored to partner with him again.”
In his final presidential address on January 15th, Biden issued a stark warning about the dangers of big tech and unregulated social media.
“Today, an oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power, and influence that literally threatens our entire democracy, our basic rights and freedoms, and a fair shot for everyone to get ahead,” he stated.
Biden also criticized social media platforms for abandoning fact-checking, warning that this shift endangers the free flow of truthful information. “The free press is crumbling,” he cautioned, as misinformation enables “the abuse of power.”
Additionally, he called for an 18-year term limit for Supreme Court justices, a proposal gaining traction since the Court’s 2022 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
With CAA once again representing him, Biden’s post-presidency career is set to be as influential as ever.
