According to a news release on Saturday, one ticket that matched all six numbers for the more than $1 billion Mega Millions jackpot was sold in the state of Michigan. It is the 18th Mega Millions jackpot won in Michigan, one of the founding members of the Mega Millions game.
The winning numbers drawn were 4, 26, 42, 50, and 60 for the white balls and the gold Mega Ball 24. The lump-sum cash payout for the winning ticket is $776.6 million.
The jackpot was the second-largest prize in the game’s history, coming in just below the $1.537 billion that was won in October of 2018.
The jackpot now resets to the starting value of $20 million for the next drawing, held on Tuesday, January 26.
