Rapper Hurricane Chris has been arrested in connection to a Friday morning shooting in Shreveport, Louisiana.
According to KSLA12, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. at Texaco, in the 2600 block of Hollywood Avenue. Violent Crimes and Crime Scene Investigations responded to the scene, alongside officers who found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was then taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
Hurricane Chris, whose real name is Christopher Dooley, has been arrested in the incident, but he has since claimed self-defense after an altercation over his car. However, video footage of the incident led officials to believe that the incident was not an act of self-defense. In fact, the car in question did not even belong to Dooley, as it was reported stolen out of Texas.
As a result, Dooley has been charged with one count of second-degree murder and one count of illegal possession of stolen things.
