A mugshot for R&B singer Jacquees hit the internet on Saturday, leaving more questions than answers about his arrest. Now, more information is being released.
Jacquees, real name Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax, was arrested and charged with simple battery and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers. He was booked into the Gwinnett County jail on Friday and posted $40 toward his $3,700 bond seven hours later.Â
No other details about the singer’s arrest have been released.
And it’s still unclear what happened to the “B.E.D.” singer’s face, as it appeared to be heavily swollen in his mugshot.
But Jacquees didn’t let the incident keep him down, and he made his way to Phoenix, Arizona, where he performed.
Next, he heads out on his “Sincerely For You” tour, which kicks off July 15 in Amsterdam. The tour wraps up a month later in Algeria.Â
