The Associated Press reported that the man charged with the murder of “Run DMC” member Jam Master Jay shot a music video in front of the rapper’s mural.

On Tuesday, prosecutors in Brooklyn, N.Y., filed documents showing a video of Karl Jordan Jr. rapping “Silver Spoon,” proving that he was a threat to the community.

The lyrics read: “I wasn’t born with no silver spoon…I had to grind, grind and get it out of the pot…and get it off the block…get it off the rock.”

In the next verse,  Jordan rapped that he “hustles hard, like the mob, a dealer serving hands like they cards.

Prosecutors claim Jordan should not be released on bail, arguing that he is a danger to himself and his community, adding that he openly boasted about dealing drugs and possessing guns after the rapper’s death.

According to the AP, Jordan Jr. wants to be released from jail on a $1 million bond.
His lawyer noted that there were “credible witnesses who will testify that he was at the house at the same time the murder” took place.
The AP also reports Jordan Jr.’s attorney says his client is also at high risk of contracting COVID-19 due to health issues.
Federal authorities recently announced that they had officially resolved the case of Jam Master Jay, one of the biggest unsolved mysteries in New York and Hip-Hop.
In October 2002, Jam Master Jay, regarded as one of the pioneers of hip-hop, was fatally shot in his recording studio.
According to prosecutors, Jordan Jr. and Ronald Washington ambushed the rapper over a cocaine deal gone bad. He is responsible for fatally shooting the rapper in the head.
