Jeannie Mai has offered a heartfelt message as her divorce from Jeezy pushes on.
Wednesday night, the media personality shared her first Instagram post of October. While it wasn’t a glamour shot or an image of her adorable daughter, Monaco, it was a much-needed post about healing.
“Sometimes, you need to take a break and disconnect to heal,” the post read.
This comes after Jeezy filed for divorce on September 14th at Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia. The couple had only been married for two years and welcomed their only child together in January 2022. Several reports have pointed to cultural differences as the reason for the split. However, neither has spoken publicly about what led to the relationship’s demise. During some of his press stops for his book, “Adversity For Sale,” Jeezy was spotted still wearing his wedding band even after filing for divorce. This led some to believe that a reconciliation was underway. Other sources have speculated that Mai is fighting hard for her family.
Mai has also been the subject of harsh rumors in the wake of the split, including one that pointed to an affair with Mario Lopez, which she has denied. No matter the couple’s current state, it’s clear Mai is focused on mending her situation. Jeezy seems to be hard at work between book promo and performances, staying busy in his newfound single life.
