On Saturday, Jeezy will commemorate the 20th anniversary of his debut album Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 by hosting a large-scale community event in East Point, Georgia. Rather than mark the occasion with a celebration focused only on music, he is turning attention toward public service.
The event, titled Community Day, will be held at Impact Church from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. It will be open to the public with no registration required. The program is organized by Jeezy’s Street Dreamz Foundation in collaboration with the nonprofit LISC, known for investing billions in underserved neighborhoods.
Over 500 children will receive free school supplies. Families will have access to health screenings, including tests for diabetes, blood pressure, and prostate conditions. An estimated 25,000 pounds of food will also be distributed on site.
Mental health resources, career development services, and interactive education stations will be available throughout the day. Visitors will be provided with a digital passport to help guide them through each activity.
“When we talk about building real change in our communities, it starts with trust, commitment, and knowing that the people on the ground matter,” said Jeezy.
The partnership with LISC reflects a shared vision between both organizations. According to Jeezy, “Street Dreamz Foundation has always believed in investing in wellness, opportunity, and leadership from the inside out. LISC shares that belief—and brings the infrastructure, investment tools, and reach to help us scale what works.”
Additional support will be provided by the Urban League, which will offer information on housing programs and financial literacy.
This event marks the beginning of a yearlong outreach effort. Similar programs will take place in other cities including Detroit and Cincinnati, each one tailored to support young people and local businesses.
“Over the next year, we’re rolling out a series of activations designed to meet people where they are,” Jeezy said. “These aren’t one-off events—they’re building blocks for long-term opportunity, wellbeing, and economic mobility.”
Thug Motivation 101 was released on July 26, 2005. It debuted at the top of Billboard’s Rap and R&B charts and later achieved double platinum status. The album became an anthem for perseverance and personal ambition, themes Jeezy says continue to guide his work.
“We invite our partners—from brands to funders to local leaders—to walk with us,” he said. “Because this isn’t just a campaign. It’s a movement. And it’s powered by the heart of the community.”
