Jeffrey Dahmer has been getting a lot of attention following the release of Netflix’s Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. Now, a Canadian owner of collectibles is offering for sale the glasses worn by the serial killer in prison.
TMZ reports that Taylor James, who runs Cult Collectibles, is willing to sell the glasses for $150k.
Taylor says he was contacted by a former housekeeper of Dahmer’s father, Lionel. Along with the glasses, he came into possession of some other memorabilia and agreed to sell the items for a portion of the profit.
Family photos, Dahmer’s prison bible, letters, cutlery, and more can be purchased online. The glasses, however, are not available on the internet. Those have to be bought from Taylor directly.
What happened to Dahmer’s other possessions? After he was convicted, it was decided that his things would be auctioned off. But the auction never happened.
Instead, a Milwaukee civic group bought Dahmer’s stuff for $407,225 and destroyed it. After paying lawyers fees, the rest went to the families of 11 of the killer’s victims.
As for Dahmer, he was bludgeoned to death by a fellow inmate in November of 1994 while serving multiple life sentences.
