Jennifer Lopez‘s summer tour has been canceled.
On Friday, May 31, Live Nation announced that the singer’s This Is Me… Live tour is canceled as she takes time off to be with her children, family, and close friends.
Lopez released a heartfelt statement to her fans on her OntheJLo website, explaining why it was a tough decision.
“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” Lopez, 54, wrote.
She continued, “I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”
The tour was originally set to run from June to August, supporting her latest studio album, *This Is Me…Now*, which dropped in February.
Fans who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded. Those who bought tickets through third-party resale sites should contact the point of purchase for more details.
In addition to spending time with her close circle, Lopez is celebrating the release of her Netflix film *Atlas*, which premiered on May 24 and has already reached No. 1 in 55 countries.
This announcement follows reports of marital issues between Lopez and her husband, Ben Affleck. Though they were seen together Thursday, sources told PEOPLE that the couple has been living separately in Los Angeles due to a strain in their marriage. Lopez has been busy preparing for the now-canceled tour and promoting *Atlas*, while Affleck has been filming *The Accountant 2*. The couple rekindled their early 2000s romance in 2021 and married in 2022.
Earlier this month, Lopez posed in front of a Netflix billboard in Los Angeles, encouraging people to watch *Atlas*.
Together, Netflix and Lopez released an Instagram clip showing her riding inside a car to see the billboard herself.
“So a bunch of people were messaging me yesterday telling me about this billboard that Netflix put up for *Atlas*,” Lopez said in the reel. “So I want to go see it for myself.”
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Lopez discussed the similarities and differences between herself and her character in the movie.
“We are so different because she’s like … doesn’t wear any of her emotions,” she said. “She’s so closed off and I am too much emotion sometimes.”
“But at the same time, we are both very strong and sure of what we feel,” Lopez continued. “At times, she was very sure. She was like, ‘This is what’s happening, please listen to me. Please tell me.’ And felt very misunderstood at times. I can also relate to that a bit.”
