Jim Jones Shuts the Door on Cam'ron Reunion: “The Brotherhood Been Over” [Video]

Jim Jones is taking credit for Cam’ron’s iconic pink fashion era, and being the mastermind behind Dipset’s style choices as a whole.

During an appearance on Justin LaBoy’s podcast, Jones boldly declared, “I created the aesthetic for the Diplomats, you heard? Down to Cam’s pink.”

If you recall, Cam rocked pink fur coats and even pink diamonds in the early 2000s. While such a display would be seen as taboo to many, the New Yorker proudly set a new standard in hip-hop fashion.

“He’ll tell you…where he got the pink from. If I’m lying, I’m flying,” Jones added.

He recalled wearing pink Diadoras and a pink Polo shirt at a Diplomat deal meeting, prompting Cam and Dame Dash to tease him.

“Cam was like, ‘I’m taking that pink. I’m running with it,’” the 48-year-old added.

Jones also addressed Cam’ron and 50’s discussion of Jones joining 50 on stage in 2007 during their beef. Cam suggested he wanted to resolve Dipset’s issues before the show, a claim Jones rejected.

“That n***a couldn’t pull nothing together…Nobody could tell me nothing,” he said. Feeling neglected, Jones prioritized his solo success.

“I heard what [50] said, ‘Koch was a graveyard,’” Jones admitted. “They called me like, ‘Yo, you wanna come perform?’ [I said,] ‘S**t yeah! I got the hottest record.’” He added, “Them n***as [in G-Unit] couldn’t even dress, but he had a platform…I’m taking that.”
