Jimmy Kimmel is poking fun at Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” by launching a new initiative to give back to so many in need. His late-night show just introduced the “Big, Beautiful Food Bank,” a donation center set up right on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Hollywood backlot. The move is a response to a serious problem as millions of Americans risk losing access to food assistance.
“Cutting SNAP benefits creates uncertainty for American children, seniors, and families,” Kimmel’s team shared on Instagram. “To support our community members in need, we’re starting a donation center in our Hollywood backlot.” They encouraged, “If you are in LA, please come by to donate food, and if you are not, please consider supporting your local food banks.”
SNAP, which supports more than 42 million Americans, is at risk due to the ongoing government shutdown. Ronald Ward, a senior official at SNAP, issued a warning that if the budget isn’t resolved soon, there won’t be enough money to fund benefits this month.
Kimmel’s food bank is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 6901 Hawthorn Ave in Los Angeles. Donations of non-perishable food, baby items, and hygiene products are all being accepted.
