John Boyega has finally gotten a hold of Jamie Foxx and says the actor is in good spirits.
Boyega, who stars alongside Foxx in the forthcoming sci-fi flick, “They Cloned Tyrone,” revealed to People that he was able to hear from his co-star. This latest update comes as a welcome relief to fans who have been extremely worried about the 55-year-old, who has not been seen publicly since suffering a medical emergency in April. Many have speculated that the comedian had a stroke, though it has not been confirmed. Last week, Boyega revealed that he’d been calling Foxx since learning of his health crisis but was unable to reach him.

“He finally picked up the phone. Thank you, bro. He’s doing well. And then, you know, we just giving him the privacy, and we can’t wait for his return,” Boyega rejoiced.
Foxx has not been seen since the medical emergency took place on the set of “Back In Action” in Atlanta. He is reportedly receiving rehabilitation at a Chicago facility. Boyega isn’t the only one to speak with Foxx on the phone. “They Cloned Tyrone” director Datari Turner also got a chance to chat with the Hollywood A-lister and reiterated what Boyega said.
“He’s in really, really good shape and spirits. And he’ll be back on the screen. He’ll be back to work very soon,” Turner also told the outlet.
Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, has been quiet on social media in the past few weeks after sharing occasional updates about her father. In early May, she revealed that her father had been out of the hospital for weeks and was doing better despite reports of his health declining rapidly. She has since turned her Instagram comments off and refrained from posting any new updates.
Let’s continue to send the beloved star our well wishes.
