On Friday, Jada Pinkett Smith released her highly-anticipated “Red Table Talk” episode with Jordyn Woods, giving the model the opportunity to tell her story on her own terms.
Prior to the interview, Jordyn and Jada facetimed Will Smith to hear a few words of encouragement, in which, he said he knew it would one day come to this.
“I was watching you grow and become a woman and I had a deep sense that we would be here one day, and what I want to say to you is that, ‘The world attacks,’” Smith said. “It just happens, you’ll never get around the world attacking. But I want you to know that you are supported and I got you and we got you.”
In the interview, Woods explained the entire situation from the beginning.
It all started with a Sunday dinner, in which Woods said she was with a group of friends, doing her own thing. Although Tristan Thompson was in the vicinity, she said he, too, was doing his own thing. But, in typical L.A. culture, Woods said the night ended at Thompson’s house, on a very friendly, after-party vibe.
In fact, at the time, she didn’t even think anything of it. But, looking back on the situation, she said she could see how things could have been misconstrued.
“I’m not thinking, I shouldn’t be here and that’s my first step where I went wrong,” Woods said. “And how I would feel if someone close to me is hanging at my ex’s house or the father of my child. I didn’t think about that. That’s the first part of the problem.”
“I should have gone home after the party, I shouldn’t have even been there,” she said.
Although she said there was never a moment, in which, she left the public, informed anyone to remove phones, or was never involved with the baller in an intimate way, she said she did put her legs over his at one moment. But, in her head, it was innocent – that is until it was time for her to go, at sunrise.
“I tell everyone I’m leaving, I tell Tristan I’m leaving and he’s like ‘are you sure?’” She explained, as she said she insisted she needed to leave. While she didn’t want to point fingers, she said “On the way out, he did kiss me.”
“It was like a kiss on the lips, no tongue kiss, no making out,” she said, as she maintained that she was never blacked out, but drunk.
Overwhelmed and shocked, Woods left the home and phoned the sisters in the morning. Although she was dishonest about what exactly happened, she said she was trying to protect Khloe’s heart.
“The last thing I wanted to do was be that person,” she said. “I’m no home-wrecker. I would never try to wreck someone’s home.”
As she continued, she maintained that she was not the reason that the two are not together. “I’m not here to play the victim, I’m here to take responsibility,” Woods said, as she explained her reasoning for omitting information and opened up about the backlash her and her family has faced after being dragged.
“I’m here to protect, I’m never here to hurt anyone and I think if that was the case I wouldn’t have been friends with these people for so long,” Woods said. “Now, I have to deal with my family and all the people I hurt.”
“This story that didn’t have to be what it was, turned into the biggest scandal or betrayal of the year,” Woods said, as she condemned the media for crucifying her over a kiss.
“I think at this point, it’s gone too far,” she said, adding that she had reached out to the Khloe despite her constant claim that she hadn’t.
In the meantime, upon the release of the interview, Khloe quickly took to Twitter to call the 21-year-old out for lying, saying, “Why are you lying Jordyn Woods ?? If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!
