Jordyn Woods To Make Acting Debut On Season 2 of ‘Grown-ish’

Jordyn Woods is building a brand of her own in Hollywood.

On Wednesday, the 21-year old model announced that she’s landed her first acting role, on the upcoming season of Grown-ish, which stars Yara Shahidi.

Woods shared the news via Instagram, with a behind the scene photo of her and the cast. In the caption, she expressed how exciting it was to be on the show and encouraged fans to “stay consistent.”

“This was the first role I’ve ever booked, and I was nervous at first, but I got past that and had the best time,” Woods wrote. “Take risks and stay consistent to your journey, you never know what the world has to offer.”

According to PEOPLE, Woods will play “Dee,” a freshman student described as a “sweet soul with a soft-spoken and sincere vulnerability.” Grown-ish fans can expect Woods to share scenes with the multitalented Trevor Jackson, who plays Aaron, an RA on the series.

Season 2 of ’Grown-ish’ premieres June 5 on Freeform.

Woods will make her acting debut on July 24, nearly four months after her fallout with the Kardashian/Jenner clan.
