Former NFL running back Joseph Randle has been ordered to receive inpatient treatment at a mental health facility after his legal team raised concerns over his mental health.
Per TMZ Sports, court documents filed by Randle’s attorneys state that a mental health professional has raised concerns about Randle’s mental health and “his ability to make decisions and control his behaviors.”
The judge agreed and ordered him to receive treatment as part of his bond. Randle has been recommended to receive a minimum of 30 days in the facility.
The NFL Players Association and Randle will work together to select the facility. Randle will also need to submit weekly progress reports detailing his treatment.
This comes just a day after Randle was arrested for neglecting to appear in court stemming from an incident where he allegedly hit three individuals with his car. Hopefully this will get things on track for Joseph Randle.
