JT is officially stacking plaques on her own.
The Miami rapper has earned her first solo Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for her hit single “Okay.” As if this milestone wasn’t iconic enough, her track “Sideways” also just earned a Gold certification.
“Okay,” released in April 2024, marked a turning point for JT. The track immediately took off, which quickly received a remix from Jeezy. As of November 7, 2025, the original “Okay” crossed over 1 million units in combined U.S. sales and streams. Around the same time, “Sideways,” another solo track that gained momentum, was also certified Gold for moving over 500,000 units.
Her 2024 mixtape “City Cinderella“ was the first full showcase of her solo artistry, and now the numbers are backing up the hype. Her latest release, “Girls Gone Wild,” is signaling a new era for JT, one that is experimenting with alternative pop. Since its release on November 7, the single has attracted over 450,000 streams on Spotify as of November 10.
Whether her new material will live up to “Okay” and “Sideways” remains to be seen. However, it’s evident that JT has established herself as a strong force all on her own.
