A judge has ordered Rick Ross to take a DNA test in his paternity battle with Briana Camille.
Ross, 44, could be the father of two young children, and a judge is going to make the rapper find out by ordering him to take a paternity test. Bossip reports that the judge issued the order to Ross this week; the children in question are from their mother, Briana Camille, who sued Ross for child support and legitimation. The mother accused Ross of neglecting the children physically and financially, claiming the rapper has failed to care for the children, including their third child, who is due later this year.
The order was issued by Judge Christopher Edward. The court documents state Ross will have to be tested at the InteliGenetics testing facility, and the costs will be paid out his pockets. However, if the results show Ross is not the father, Camille will have to cover the test charges.
Ross and Camille were not unfamiliar with one another, according to Camille. She says she and Ross lived together with the children until the two broke off their relationship last year. The mom says Ross signed the children’s birth certificates but requested that the court have him take a paternity test. In response, Ross said he was never properly served and said because of that, the case should be thrown out. Bossip reports that Ross’ lawyers reached out to her about having a test taken, but she backed out because she was worried Ross might try to manipulate the test.
The outlet reports that the rapper wanted the issue to be settled outside of the courthouse, but a judge has just given Ross a deadline to have the paternity test finished within the next month.
