T.I., his wife Tiny Harris, and the OMG Girlz have officially secured their full $71.5 million legal victory against MGA Entertainment after a judge reversed his earlier decision to potentially reduce their award.
The case, which accused the toy company of copying the OMG Girlz’ likeness for its O.M.G. Dolls, initially resulted in a major win for the entertainers in September 2024. However, last month, U.S. District Court Judge James V. Selna questioned the $53.6 million in punitive damages, suggesting there wasn’t enough evidence to justify such a high amount. His tentative ruling raised concerns that the total award could be slashed to just $17 million.
Now, in a major reversal, Selna has fully reinstated the jury’s original decision. Court documents shared by journalist Meghann Cuniff confirm that T.I., Tiny Harris, and the OMG Girlz will receive the entire $71.5 million—which includes $17.9 million in actual damages (disgorgement of profits) and $53.6 million in punitive damages.
The lawsuit accused MGA Entertainment of “cultural appropriation and outright theft,” claiming that the company modeled its O.M.G. Dolls after the OMG Girlz—the former girl group featuring Tiny’s daughter Zonnique Pullins, Bahja “Beauty” Rodriguez, and Breaunna “Babydoll” Womack.
