Rapper Juelz Santana has pleaded guilty to bringing a loaded firearm into an airport. He now faces up to 20 years in prison.
Back in March, Santana was arrested for attempting to bring a .38 caliber handgun in his bag through security at the Newark Liberty International airport. Realizing TSA had found the weapon, the rapper immediately fled the scene. Several days later the Harlem native turned himself into police.
Security also obtained non-prescription oxycodone pills; he was originally charged with possession of a loaded handgun and the narcotics. However, that wasn’t a part of the end of his plea deal, according to Vibe.com. As previously reported, following his arrest Juelz was ordered to live with his mother while on house arrest.
The judge also made a deal with the rapper granting him permission to go on tour with his group Dipset, only if he traveled everywhere with his mother and agreed to go to anger management.
Santana pled guilty during a court hearing on Aug. 16 and is set to appear in court on Dec. 12.
