It was only a matter of time before rumors began to swirl about what may have led Kandi Burruss to file for divorce from Todd Tucker. Now, new allegations paint a clearer picture of what went wrong.
A source close to the couple claims Kandi was completely blindsided after learning that Todd had allegedly been speaking with other women, though it’s unclear who they were.
“Kandi and Todd had been having marriage troubles for a while now. Kandi was not happy because she found out that Todd had been talking to other women behind her back,” a source tells People. “She had no idea.”
Burruss officially filed for divorce on November 21. Days later, she opened up during an Amazon Live stream, saying, “I am up and down. Obviously, going through a divorce is definitely not the easiest thing… Sometimes you’re cool, then sometimes you have your moments of sadness.”
Despite the breakup, the two spent Thanksgiving together and celebrated their daughter Blaze’s birthday as a family. Burruss said, “I have no regrets.”
Their marriage faced ups and downs over the years, including intimacy struggles and tension from overlapping careers. The couple wed in 2014 after meeting on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
“This is a difficult and emotional time,” Burruss said in a statement. “But my focus remains on protecting my peace… I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth.”
Neither Burruss nor Tucker has responded to these latest allegations.
