Kanye West may be enjoying marital bliss, but the rap mogul’s business dealings continue to spiral downhill.
While many have noticed Ye’s absence from social media, his hiatus has rubbed his lawyers very wrong. Attorneys with the firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP have tried numerous times to reach Ye regarding the status of their relationship. The firm wanted to inform the embattled sneaker mogul that they no longer represented him. However, the phone number they’d tried calling had been disconnected. Now, the firm has resorted to desperate measures.
The legal counsel took to Los Angeles-based newspapers to announce they were no longer working with West, hoping the announcement would reach him that way. They published a court order that a judge signed off on, which allowed them to drop Ye as a client. This latest fallout is yet another soured business dealing in the rapper’s crumbling empire.
Greenberg Traurig’s decision comes after Ye went on an antisemitic rampage that lasted for weeks. West’s most recent hateful comments arrived in early December when he appeared on Alex Jones’ show “Infowars.” Ye praised Adolf Hitler during that dreadful appearance, leaving even the right-wing host stunned. Since then, Ye has been uncharacteristically quiet, with news of his wedding this past week raising even more questions.
In addition to the law office, talent agency CAA, Balenciaga, GAP, Adidas, and business manager Thomas St. John are just a few companies to cut ties with Ye.
He has not publicly responded to the newspaper ads airing out his business with his attorneys. He likely won’t anytime soon as he continues enjoying married life with his new bride, Bianca Censori.
