Kanye West has reportedly settled a lawsuit filed by former employees of his Donda Academy, averting a trial that was set to begin in just a few weeks.
The lawsuit, which claimed wrongful termination and unpaid wages, also accused the school of health and safety violations, as well as unlawful educational practices.
One of the plaintiffs, Cecilia Hailey, an experienced educator and former dean of two colleges, alleged that she detected multiple violations at the school, raising concerns over the treatment of both students and staff.
The lawsuit also claimed that teachers at Donda Academy faced racial discrimination, adding fuel to the fire of what has already been a controversial chapter for Kanye.
Although no specific details have been revealed, the settlement reportedly requires Kanye to fulfill specific terms within 45 days. If those terms aren’t met, the plaintiffs could file a request to dismiss the case.
While this settlement marks the end of one legal battle, Kanye’s ongoing controversies continue to draw attention, leaving people wondering what’s next.
