Kanye West’s Donda is finally here!
The album hit streaming services on Sunday, but not without some last-minute drama.
In now-deleted Instagram posts, Kanye revealed that DaBaby’s feature on “Jail” wasn’t cleared and contributed to delaying the album’s release. Ye initially played a version of the song with Jay-Z on it during his Atlanta listening party. Fans were confused when he played a version with DaBaby at the Chicago event.
The album initially dropped with Jay-Z’s verse and not DaBaby’s.
The version of the song featuring DaBaby, “Jail pt 2,” was listed as unavailable on streaming platforms.
Adding to the release’s drama, Kanye posted Sunday that Universal put out the album without his consent.
“Universal put my album out without my approval and they blocked Jail 2 from being on the album,” Yeezy wrote.
As of Sunday afternoon, “Jail pt 2” is now available on streaming platforms. The track features both DaBaby and Marilyn Manson.
