Katt Williams started the year by stirring the pot and making shocking revelations about the entertainment industry. Now, he’s closing out 2024 revealing another unexpected comment, but this time, NBA star Steph Curry is at the center.

During a live recording with the “Good One” podcast at Vulture Festival last month, the comedian took a moment to share a surprising story about the Golden State Warrior superstar, who’s known to be one of the best 3-point shooters in the NBA.
“Anybody that knows me knows that I don’t claim the s**t that I do,” Williams said. “But I am responsible for the greatest shooter in the NBA, without question.”
Williams was referring to Curry’s participation in celebrity basketball games that were organized by the comedian in the earlier days of his career. At the time, Curry had undeniable talent as an NCAA scoring champion but wasn’t recognized in the NBA industry yet. Williams recalled how watching Curry perform in those games left a lasting impression on him, so much so that he felt compelled to extend some advice to the rising star.
“If you can shoot before people can start defense, you’ll be the greatest shooter that ever lived,” Williams recalled telling Curry.
As of now, it’s unclear if Williams should be credited for Curry’s shooting success, but looking back at the revelations he dropped during his “Club Shay Shay” interview earlier this year, his statement about the NBA star may have some truth to it.
