San Francisco 49ers defensive end Keion White was injured in a nightclub shooting just hours after Super Bowl 2026 festivities, and newly surfaced police records have connected the chaotic moment to an early-morning confrontation involving rapper Lil Baby.
According to police reports cited by the San Francisco Standard, the shooting happened around 4:06 a.m. Monday at Mission Street nightclub in San Francisco. White was hosting a private party on the main floor when Lil Baby attempted to enter the invite-only event. A witness told officers that an argument broke out shortly after, escalating quickly inside the packed venue.
As tensions rose, a witness reportedly went upstairs to find a manager for help. Moments later, two gunshots rang out. One struck White in the left leg while he was surrounded by partygoers, including several adult entertainers.
The police report describes a chaotic scene when officers arrived. “As I entered, I saw numerous scantily clad females picking up dollar bills that were strewn all over the floor,” the report states. “Some of the females were topless and appeared to have been adult entertainers.”
White was treated at the scene and later transported to a local hospital, where he remains under medical care. Police noted that he was uncooperative when questioned following the shooting. The shooter has not been identified, and no arrests have been announced.
Lil Baby has not issued any public statement regarding the incident. He was seen earlier in the weekend attending a Fanatics Super Bowl party.
The shooting occurred just miles from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, where Super Bowl 2026 events had wrapped up hours earlier. White, originally drafted by New England in 2023, was traded to San Francisco during the 2025 season and appeared in two playoff games for the 49ers.
