Nicki Minaj’s husband is fighting legally to remove his name from New York’s Sex Offender Registry.
According to new legal documents, Kenneth Petty is taking legal action against NYC, saying he never was given a fair opportunity to challenge his case and accusations against him. He also included New York City’s Criminal Justice Services division in his lawsuit.
According to TMZ, Petty claims he never received a notice for a hearing while he was imprisoned. TMZ obtained legal documents stating there was a hearing in his case, but Petty says he was never made aware of it.
Petty says the hearing notice was sent to an address where he did not live. He also claims someone used his signature without his consent and added that he would not be attending the hearing. Petty says because he was allegedly treated unfairly, he’d like his name removed from the New York sex offenders list.
He says the entire ordeal has caused him to suffer financial loss, and he has been humiliated.
