Kodak Black is weighing on the viral story of a 61-year-old man marrying his 18-year-old goddaughter. According to the rapper, the situation isn’t that uncommon.
The “No Flockin” star detailed how his father began a similar relationship with his own goddaughter when the rapper was a child in a now-deleted Instagram post.
“SMH my daddy did this same sh–! Left us to start another family with his goddaughter, I was about 9. But I ain’t judging nobody. To each’s own. It could be true love,” the 24-year-old revealed. Naturally, fans quickly swarmed Kodak’s comments wanting to know more details, while others slammed the rapper for normalizing a suspected instance of grooming.
For those unfamiliar with the twisted scenario that Yak is referring to, Michael and Deja Haugabook are a Florida couple. Their relationship has been at the top of debates across social media when photos surfaced of the man holding his now-wife when she was just a baby. Many who know the couple confirmed that he was her godfather until she became of legal age. Even more troubling is that the couple has a 1-year-old child, leading most to believe that the man had carried on a sexual relationship with the teen for many years.
