That’s Baller: Kodak Black Fulfills His Mom’s Dream With New Pompano Beach Restaurant, Z Queen Cuisine [Video]

We all know Kodak Black is famous for his wild viral moments, but the rapper is also known for having a big heart when it comes to his community and his family.

Earlier this year, in July 2025, Kodak was officially awarded the Key to the City of Pompano Beach for his massive philanthropic efforts, from paying the rent for hundreds of families to donating AC units and holiday turkeys. Now, he’s ending the year by making his mother’s biggest dreams come true.

To celebrate Christmas, Kodak officially gifted his mom, whom he calls Z Queen, her very own Haitian restaurant called Z Queen Cuisine right in their hometown of Pompano Beach, Florida.

For Z Queen, a Haitian immigrant who raised Kodak in the Golden Acres projects, this is a lifelong dream. The new spot is set to serve up authentic Haitian dishes, bringing the flavors of their culture to the local neighborhood. Kodak has always been vocal about his love for his mother, but putting her in the boss’s seat in her own kitchen is a different kind of flex.

It looks like the Octave family is starting 2026 on a high note. With a Key to the City in his pocket and a new family business on the map, Kodak continues to prove that no matter how famous he gets, he’s always going to make sure his mama is taken care of.
