Although the statue of limitations are up, Los Angeles officials have opened up a new investigation into Roman Polanski’s sexual involvement with a minor.

According to reports, the 84-year-old fugitive has been accused of molesting a woman back in 1975 when she was 10-years-old. While the allegations are too old to pursue charges, L.A. officials say they are investigating in hopes to find evidence that will help close other cases.

Back in October, according to ABC News, California artist Marianne Barnard reported the allegations to the police, revealing that the famed-director molested her during a photo shoot several decades ago.

However, Polanski’s lawyer calls the claims, “bogus,” and says he has hired his own investigator to find information on the accuser. In the meantime, Polanski’s legal team has promised to continue its fight against U.S’s international arrest warrant that forced Polanski to flee and has since kept him in France, Switzerland and Poland for having sex with a 13-year-old.
