Xscape’s very own LaTocha Scott broke the internet on Wednesday when she dropped a freestyle over Chris Brown’s “Residuals,” pouring out her heart to her sister, Tamika, and also dishing on her tumultuous marriage.

Scott didn’t hold back, revealing that she split from her husband, Rocky Bivens, after 30 years due to alleged infidelity.
“Reading through them comments, saying he having a baby/ I don’t know who’s lyin’ and maybe I was blind,” she rapped.
In the heartfelt freestyle, Scott laced in Xscape references, rapping, “Who can I run to? Feels like nobody lately,” and name-dropping the group itself. She also opened up about missing her sister, Tamika, adding, “It’s a crazy feeling/ But y’all know family s**t be needin’ time for healing.”
In case you forgot, Tamika accused her sister and brother-in-law of stealing money from her.
On her marriage, Scott admitted, “Even in a marriage, ain’t nobody perfect/ But we been split two years and my heart is hurting…30 years just washed away. It took some time, some years for me to escape this pain.”
Scott, who signed to Motown Gospel in 2023, addressed the toll of recent events: “Losing everything—marriage, family, my blood,” she lamented, calling it “insane” that she lost her sister and was “kicked out of [her] group,” referencing Xscape touring without her in recent years.
Xscape has yet to respond but will perform at Jazz In The Gardens on March 9th. It’s unclear if Scott will join them.
