Sean “Diddy” Combs has been dropped as a client by a high-powered law firm, reportedly due to pressure from pop star Lady Gaga.
Prestigious Manhattan law firm Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sacks, known for representing wealthy clients including Diddy, recently cut ties with him. According to NewsNation, this decision came at Lady Gaga’s urging. Sources revealed that the “Poker Face” singer, aware of a violent video showing Diddy assaulting Cassie, gave the firm an ultimatum.
“Lady Gaga said she was leaving [the firm] if they didn’t drop Diddy. And she’s too big to lose,” an insider shared with NewsNation.
This severing of ties will likely have a significant impact on Diddy’s future, as he was a client of the firm for over twenty years and had a long-standing friendship with entertainment lawyer and founder Allen Grubman. Despite this, Grubman appears to be distancing himself from the embattled producer, at least professionally.
Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sacks is just the latest entity to move away from Diddy. Capital Preparatory Harlem, which he co-founded, has also cut ties with the Grammy Award winner, as has his media outlet, Revolt TV.
Diddy has been keeping a low profile amid an ongoing sex trafficking investigation. It’s unlikely he’ll respond publicly to this latest development.
