The child molestation lawsuit filed against comedians Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears has been dismissed.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, “Jane Doe” asked to court to dismiss the suit with prejudice, which means the case cannot be refiled.
“My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years – and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us. We wish Tiffany the best and are glad that we can all put this behind us,” the woman said in a statement, per TMZ.
Earlier this month, Haddish and Spears were named in a lawsuit alleging they groomed and molested two underaged siblings years ago. The brother and sister claimed Haddish and their mother were friends and that in 2013, a then 14-year-old Jane and 7-year-old John were recruited for wildly inappropriate skits. For one sketch, Jane was told to watch a sexually suggestive video and was then asked to “mimic what she had seen on the screen.” A second sketch that recently resurfaced showed Aries Spears portraying a pedophile lusting after an underaged John Doe.
According to RadarOnline, Haddish and the two accusers suing her and Aries Spears reached an agreement privately.
When news of the lawsuit–initially dubbed a shakedown– broke, Haddish said though the sketch was intended to be comedic, it “wasn’t funny at all.” She added that she “deeply” regretted having agreed to participate in it.

This is what they do when a settlement is reached. She didn’t change her mind. Tiffany wrote the check as she should have.
