LeBron James’ Space Jam: A New Legacy might be getting panned by box office critics, but he’s letting everyone know that all the negativity has left him feeling unbothered.
On Saturday, James posted a link to an article about the film finishing first at the box office this weekend. The movie is projected to rake in more than $31 million, a lot more than initially expected to bring in its opening weekend.
“Hi Haters!” James captioned the post alongside a grinning emoji.
Space Jam 2 took down Marvel’s Black Widow for the number one spot, which is expected to bring in around $26 million for its second weekend. The movie brought in $78 million domestically in its first weekend.
The film is experiencing the fifth-best opening of the year. Interestingly enough, Michael Jordan’s Space Jam also had the fifth-best opening of 1996 when the film debuted. Thought, it was subsequently knocked into seventh place.
James’ Space Jam sequel is not only available in theaters this weekend. The film is also available for streaming on HBO Max.
