The Cavaliers face more trial with their star player, Lebron James, out for two weeks due to back and knee injuries. James, who has already missed two games, was diagnosed with knee and back strains. The team announced earlier today that he will undergo rehabilitation and has been prescribed anti-inflammatories.
James could miss over ten games which will end his record of never having missed more than five consecutive games. His absence may of course lead to more losses for the regular season. During their Christmas Day game against his former Miami team he was seen grabbing his left knee. It resulted in him leaving the game only to return later. James did, however, confirm that that was not the exact incident causing his strained knee, but a ārecurrence of an ongoing issue,ā and that it had been hurting for most of the year, reported by NBA Game Time (mobile application).
th season for the star forward who also just turned 30 on December 30th. James joked with reporters saying āIāve got 41,000 minutes on meā¦You drive that car in the winter time.ā Prior to starting the season James was under watch for having lost a noticeable amount of weight but reiterated that it was not to ācompensate for a loss of speedā or to help lengthen his career.
James is expected to be back and recovered for the January 15 game against the Lakers.
