ESPN tweeted a “breakdown” of Lebron James salary for the next four years, and by the look of the emoji, even they were surprised. The NBA superstar will earn $162 per second he plays on the court wearing Purple and Gold.
According to SpotTrac, Lebron’s deal is as follows: “LeBron James signed a four year / $153,312,846 contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, including an annual average salary of $38,328,212.” With the deal, James is set to earn $467,000 per game, $117,000 per quarter, $9.7k per minute and $162 per second. Who else felt really poor reading those numbers?
Despite all of the money, LeBron will be making, he, of course, remains true to his roots in the community. He donates to various charities regularly and is still riding high off of the opening of his charter school in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.
Folks, let’s not all send Lebron our CashApp names at once!
