The premiere of the documentary “Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero” was postponed at the Toronto International Film Festival due to a bomb threat.
The delay, lasting about 20 minutes, occurred at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto while authorities assessed the threat’s credibility.
During this period, Lil Nas X was not present on the red carpet.
According to Judy Lung, VP of Public Affairs and Communications at TIFF, the Toronto police conducted an investigation around the red carpet before the screening.
“Our standard security measures remained in place during this time, and the screening commenced with a slight delay,” Lung said. “To our knowledge, this was a general threat and not directed at the film or the artist.”
