Lisa Bonet has pulled the trigger on her marriage with Jason Momoa two years after initially splitting from the actor.
The longtime couple walked down the aisle on October 7th, 2017. However, they’d been together for years before. They share a 16-year-old daughter, Lola, and a 15-year-old son, Nakoa-Wolf. Bonet is also the mom to daughter, 35-year-old Zoë Kravitz, with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz.
Bonet is seeking joint custody of their children. Neither is seeking spousal support. When announcing their separation in 2022, the couple alluded to the pandemic playing a role in the demise of their relationship.
“We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding, and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. And so we share our Family news that we are parting ways in marriage,” the statement read in 2022.
Sadly, it seems the two have been unable to recover. In her newly filed court docs, Bonet listed the date of separation as October 7th, 2020. There appears to be a prenuptial agreement in place. Therefore, the couple won’t be doing much fighting over assets and property.
Neither has spoken publicly about their relationship since the split, so it’s unknown if they attempted a reconciliation in these two years since announcing their breakup. However, rumors have swirled in recent weeks that Momoa might be dating talk show host and singer Kelly Clarkson after he appeared on her show last month. Neither has confirmed this rumor, though Clarkson has maintained that she is still single and not yet ready to mingle.
Momoa has not commented on his wife’s filing.
