Lizzo is under fire after several of her former background dancers have shockingly accused her of sexual misconduct.
Multiple incidents of inappropriate behavior have been outlined in a new lawsuit filed this week. Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez allege Lizzo pressured Davis to touch a nude performer sexually during an Amsterdam trip. Per the court documents, while attending a live sex show in the city’s Red Light District, customers were allowed to touch and interact with performers. However, Lizzo allegedly took things too far by pressuring her dance team to feel on the nude entertainers and eat a banana from one of their vaginas. Davis says the singer forced her to touch one of the women’s breasts, despite her saying multiple times that she did not want to. The plaintiffs also accused Lizzo of inviting them for a night out without telling them that they’d be attending a sex show.
According to Variety, the women say they were each fired unfairly for various reasons. Davis was let go in May after she recorded a meeting where Lizzo critiqued dancers about their performance. Williams argues to have been terminated for speaking up for dancers when Lizzo accused them of drinking liquor before a show. Lastly, Rodriguez says she was asked to leave the dance troupe after raising concerns about Williams being fired in front of the rest of the dancers, something she believes was an intimidation tactic.
In addition to Lizzo, the suit names her company, Big Grrrl Big Touring Inc., and dance captain, Shirlene Quigley, who is accused of forcing her Christian beliefs on the women.
Lizzo has not publicly responded to her claims.
