Every year, Louis Vuitton stuns customers with its highly anticipated Fall-Winter Collection, and this year is no exception. The luxury brand has even recruited one of hip-hop’s finest to help bring the elements to life.
The luxury brand unveiled its FW2022 Collection, titled “Generation V,” filled with denim LV prints, floral splashes, jerseys, and even letterman jackets. A glance at the Louis Vuitton website shows rapper Yasiin Bey, most commonly known as Mos Def, sporting the Destroyed Workwear Denim Jacket and Tapestry Reversible Bucket Hat. The denim pieces are only available in select LV locations.
Another superstar spotted modeling the men’s line is singer Solange Knowles, who sported the Multi-Patches Mixed Leather Varsity Blouson. Knowles’ presence in the men’s line demonstrates the gender neutrality within the collection.
Louis Vuitton is no stranger to utilizing music’s biggest names in their campaigns. When the late Virgil Abloh was appointed to LV’s Men’s Artistic Director, he seamlessly merged hip-hop and fashion. Kid Cudi, Playboi Carti, and 21 Savage are just a few acts that have modeled for LV under Abloh’s vision.
Not many prices for the new items are available on the website, which is a testament to the exclusivity of this year’s collection. However, buyers may call customer service or their nearby Louis Vuitton boutique to inquire about the gorgeous pieces.
