Reality television fans will have to say goodbye to one of “Love Island USA” Season 7’s most talked-about couples. Chelley Bissainthe has confirmed that she and Ace Greene have ended their relationship, revealing the news during an appearance on Page Six Radio.
The breakup marks the end of a connection that sparked interest from fans early in the season, but ultimately could not withstand life outside the villa.
During the interview, Chelley was initially non-committal when asked about her relationship with Ace. She mentioned that they were not moving in together but reassured listeners that Ace was doing well. The hosts seemed to sense the tension and offered to move on, which led Chelley to confirm that their relationship had indeed ended.
Chelley described the split as a difficult decision, emphasizing that sometimes loving someone means letting them go. She stressed that the breakup was mutual and hinted that some details about their relationship would remain private. For Chelley, the couple’s connection was never about public perception or fan approval.
“[There was] a mutual level of respect and understanding that we wanted this to work. But sometimes things don’t work. Couples go through things that are very challenging and sometimes the best thing to do is make a decision that needs to be made.”
The reality star explained that the breakup didn’t happen overnight, adding, “We had a lot of conversations. At the end of the day, it was just a mutual agreement of, like, this is for the best.”
Looking ahead, Chelley expressed her well-wishes for Ace and shared that she is using this time for personal growth. If you can recall, their story first drew attention on the show when they revealed that they had met years prior to filming. Some fans accused them of forming a relationship purely to win the competition, but Chelley and Ace clarified that they had only crossed paths once at a club before the show, were mutual friends on Instagram, and were never involved in any schemes.
Chelley and Ace nearly made it to the finals but were eliminated on Day 30.
The season ultimately crowned Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales as the winners, though that couple has also since parted ways.
