Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new sexual assault allegations after a man filed a lawsuit claiming a professional athlete stopped Combs from assaulting him during a promotional event. The lawsuit, filed Sunday, October 20, alleges the incident took place at a party for Ciroc vodka, a brand Combs formerly had a business relationship.
The plaintiff, who runs a luxury car and jewelry rental business, says Combs invited him into a private office during the party. According to the suit, the plaintiff noticed Combs was intoxicated before the music mogul allegedly exposed himself and grabbed the plaintiff’s genitals in a “rough and sexual manner.” The plaintiff claims the situation escalated until a professional athlete entered the room and intervened, stopping Combs from continuing the assault.
This lawsuit is one of five filed against Combs that day, including one from a woman who alleges she was raped by the music mogul in 2000 when she was just 13 years old. These legal actions follow a string of lawsuits against Combs, beginning last November when his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie, accused him of sexual misconduct.
The plaintiffs are represented by well-known attorney Tony Buzbee, who has stated that he is representing over 100 people accusing Combs of sexual misconduct. In response, Combs’ attorneys denied the latest allegations in a statement to PEOPLE, calling the lawsuits an attempt to gain publicity. The statement reads, “Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone—adult or minor, man or woman.”
He has pleaded not guilty, and Combes is currently being held in federal custody after being arrested in September on sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution-related offenses by federal authorities in New York. He has pleaded not guilty.
His criminal trial is scheduled for May 2025.
