A man in New York City rubbed feces on a woman who was sitting down at a subway station.
On Feb. 21, a 43-year-old woman was sitting down waiting on the southbound platform of the Wakefield-241st Street station at around 5:15 p.m. when a man started to walk toward her with a plastic bag in his hand.
As soon as he got close enough, he smushed the bag, which reportedly contained feces, in her face. He then rubbed it from her face to the back of her head as he walked away. The entire incident was captured on video.
In the video, the man can be seen wearing black pants, an oversized blue sweater, a ball cap and durag. He was also carrying a duffle bag.
The New York Police Department is still looking for the man; they’ve since announced an award of up to $3,500 for any details that can lead to the man’s arrest. The incident comes three days after Mayor Eric Adams rolled out the city’s Subway Safety Plan, which includes 1,000 officers being sent out to keep watch over the subways and boost safety.
