Mary J. Blige is officially done with the relationship drama, as she and her estranged husband have finally come to an agreement in their divorce.
According to the @blast, just three days before the trial was set to take place and two days before the singer’s Oscar performance, Blige settled the longstanding divorce battle with her ex, Kendu Isaacs.
Isaacs had been asking for more money in spousal support since Blige had been raking in the dough from her latest achievements. But, Blige quickly nipped that in the bud, informing her ex that her Oscar-nominated role in ‘Mudbound’ cost her more than she was compensated, so the extra money was not there. In addition, she suggested Isaacs get his own job, rather than relying on her celebrity to pay the bills.
Since then though, Blige has settled the dispute. Though the details remain unclear, Blige can put the drama from the divorce behind her.
