Massachusetts Woman Arrested After Injuring A Toddler In Road Rage Incident

Wednesday Afternoon in Barnstable, Mass., a young woman found herself very angry on the road resulting in her injuring a two-year-old boy.

20-year-old Emma Silva was driving her white Jeep Liberty when she came across a vehicle not moving fast enough for her. According to the woman in the other vehicle, Silva was “riding her bumper” and “laying on her horn while yelling at her.”

The woman in the other vehicle, who is also the mother of the victim, told police that Silva proceeded to throw an iced coffee into her car, striking her sleeping, two-year-old son in the face.

According to the police, the cup left the boy’s face and nose bloody.

Silva has since been arrested and identified by the boy’s mother. She faces two charges —   assaulting a child with a dangerous weapon and negligent operation of a vehicle.

She was released Thursday morning on a $540 bail and is expected back in court on Nov. 4.
