MC Lyte is facing one of the most difficult moments of her life after the passing of her mother, Constance Moorer, who died following a brave fight against cancer. Diagnosed in 2022, Constance battled through surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation with unshakable faith and resilience.
In an emotional announcement, Lyte remembered her mother as a woman of strength, joy, and spiritual grace.
“She woke up every day with a heart full of song for the Lord,” she shared, describing her mom’s bright smile and uplifting energy that left a mark on everyone she met.
While the pain is immense, Lyte expressed deep gratitude for the 54 years she had with her mother. She reflected on the legacy of love and support that Constance poured into her life, a presence that shaped her both personally and professionally.
“My mother’s mother passed when she was just 10, and I was blessed to have my mom for all these years,” Lyte said. “Though my heart is heavy, I know she’s finally free, no longer in pain, and with our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Lyte is now asking for continued prayers as she navigates this profound loss.
