Meek Mill has officially moved to appeal his harsh sentence of 2-4 years for probation violation.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In legal docs obtained by TMZ, the rapper’s lawyer asked the high court to release him on grounds that the judge was unfair and biased against him after several instances of malpractice.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Meek’s legal team accused Judge Genece Brinkley of making the rapper pay for his refusal to shout her out on a track. The team also claims Brinkley asked Meek to change management and instead, work with one of her old friends from Philly.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Although Brinkley has yet to respond to the allegations, she recently denied the rapper’s bail, adding fuel to Meek’s legal team’s fire and allegations against her. In the meantime, Meek’s team has appealed the sentence and ordered a full transcript to prove to the appeals court that the judge was being prejudiced against Meek.
