Grammy-award-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion is giving the world a peek into her life in a new documentary titled “Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words.” The film will premiere on October 31st on Prime Video and will be produced by Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with TIME Studios, Roc Nation, and Nneka Productions.
Directed by Emmy winner Nneka Onuorah (Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls), the documentary will explore Megan’s professional and personal growth, highlighting the vulnerable moments that helped mold her successful career in the music industry. The synopsis states that the film will follow Megan’s journey from her Houston upbringing to her international stardom as she navigates the challenges of fame, grief, and success.
“Her raw and beautiful spirit really shines through in the film. She is a champion for all women who deserve their truth to be heard,” Onuorah said.

The ‘In Her Words’ film is just the latest accomplishment Megan has checked off her to-do list. This year, Megan released her “HISS” single from her “Megan” album. The song earned her a third Billboard Hot 100 No.1 hit, joining her “Savage (remix)” track featuring Beyonce and “WAP” with Cardi B. Additionally, Megan also made waves at the MTV Video Music Awards, serving as both a host and performer. During the event, she delivered a show-stopping medley that included her global smash hit “Mamushi,” featuring Yuki Chiba.
Nonetheless, the documentary is expected to be a must-see film that showcases Megan Thee Stallion in a different light, offering a glimpse into her strength, resilience, and growth. As previously stated, fans can catch its debut on Halloween, which happens to coincide with Megan’s annual “Hottieween” party, which is set to take place in Chicago this year.
