Megan Thee Stallion Tapped to Host And Perform On ‘Saturday Night Live’

It’s official! Megan Thee Stallion is taking her rhymes, twerk skills, and Houston charm to the Saturday Night Live stage.

On Tuesday, NBC announced that Meg would be one of several guest hosts when the 48th season returns on October 1st. The Hottie will make her hosting debut on the October 15th episode, followed by a performance on the heels of her latest album, Traumazine Meg’s return to SNL marks her second time on the sketch comedy series as it undergoes several casting changes.

SNL Alumni Chris Redd, Alex Moffat, Melissa Villaseñor, and Aristotle Athari recently announced that they were stepping away from the iconic show. Meanwhile, Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, and Pete Davidson, whose departures were revealed in May, already left the show in a state of uncertainty.

Executive producer Lorne Michaels called 2022 “a transition year” for SNL but insisted that the show must and will go on. In addition to Meg, “Top Gun: Maverick” star Miles Teller will be first up to host the season premiere, with Kendrick Lamar joining as the musical guest. “Into the Storm” actor Brandon Gleeson will tackle hosting duties on October 8th with “Red Table Talk” host Willow Smith taking the stage.

If you want to see Megan Thee Stallion and all the other commentators, you can catch the new season of Saturday Night Live on NBC at 11:30 p.m. beginning on October 1st. You may also stream it on Hulu.
