Megan thee Stallion took the stand Tuesday on day two of Tory Lanez‘s shooting trial.
According to LA Times reporter James Queally, the “Body” hitmaker became immediately emotional after Los Angeles County Deputy Dist. Atty. Kathy Ta asked her if she knew Daystar Peterson, commonly known as Tory Lanez. When asked if she was nervous, Meg responded, “I just don’t feel good. “I can’t believe I have to come up here and do this.”
Megan reportedly began to recount her personal relationships with Lanez and ex-friend Kelsey Harris. She noted that she only knew Lanez briefly, and they occasionally had a sexual relationship but were not exclusive. Megan described Harris as someone she met freshman year of college and remained really close to.
While on the stand, Megan walked jurors through her account of what happened on the night of the incident claiming she, Tory and Harris were at a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s home.
She claimed she wanted to leave the party because her wig became loose, and she felt uncomfortable, shutting down claims that she was jealous that Lanez was trying to talk to Jenner.
Meg said an argument later erupted in their SUV as they left Jenner’s home because Lanez wasn’t ready to leave.
Lawyer for Workers also broke down Megan’s testimony in an Instagram post, saying the rapper claimed Lanez turned to her and asked why she would “snake” her friend Kelsey, revealing that he and Megan had been hooking up behind Harris’ back. Lanez and Harris apparently also had been having an intimate relationship. The argument later escalated, with the rappers insulting each other about their music careers.
Megan later testified she got out of the car, and as she started walking, she heard Tory say, “dance bitch” while firing five shots over the SUV door.
“I’m in shock. I’m scared. I hear the gun going off and I can’t believe he’s shooting at me,” Megan said on Tuesday in court.
The “Savage” rapper later claimed Lanez offered her and Kelsey $1 million to keep quiet about the shooting, noting that he was still on probation for a prior weapons offense.
According to Queally, when asked why she didn’t initially report the shooting to the cops, Megan said, “At this time we are at the height of police brutality… I felt if I said this man had shot me, they might shoot first and ask questions later. I don’t feel safe in the car. I don’t feel safe with the police.”
Megan was emotional as soon as she took the stand, describing Lanez as someone she "used to" be friends with before telling a prosecutor she didn't "feel good … I can't believe I have to come up here and do this."

MTS says the argument in the SUV started because she wanted to leave the party at Kylie Jenner's house and Lanez didn't. He "had an attitude" and when they got in the car he told MTS "you need to stop lying to your friend" referring to Kelsey Harris.

Eventually he lets her out of the car and MTS decribes the shooting as it has been in court and interviews before: Lanez yells "dance, bitch!" and fires 5 times, she says. "I'm in shock. I'm scared. I hear the gun going off. I can't believe he's shooting at me."

MTS says the gunfire floored everyone: "[Lanez] looked shocked. Kelsey looked shocked. JaQuan [the driver/Lanez security] looked shocked."

Asked why she didn't report shooting to LAPD during the vehicle stop: "At this time we are at the height of police brutality… I felt if I said this man had shot me, they might shoot first and ask questions later. I don't feel safe in the car. I don't feel safe with the police."
