On Tuesday, Donald Trump addressed the State of the Union, as half a million people turned their ear to NowThis, which streamed #BarackObama’s final speech as president on Facebook.
However, the live-stream wasn’t the only form of resistance that took place last night. In her first public appearance since the news of Trump’s affair with porn star Stormy Daniels, Melania Trump showed up to the SOTU in an all-white ensemble in honor of women’s suffrage.
Although Melania’s outfit was a stark contrast to the female lawmakers who wore black in support of the #MeToo movement, the Christian Dior pantsuit, which was paired with a Dolce & Gabbana blouse and Christian Louboutin heels, was a statement that many were actually here for.

In fact, Melania’s color choice coincided with a previous statement made by female Democrats last year, who wore white in protest of Trump’s speech to Congress. In addition, according to PEOPLE, Hillary Clinton wore white to Trump’s inauguration as well. It’s also worth noting that, according to reports, Melania did arrive at the State of the Union separately from her husband.

So, in addition to women’s suffrage, was Melania throwing slight shade at Trump, as well? Twitter users seem to think so.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Welcome to the resistance, Melania,” Matthew Miller tweeted, while another wrote, “Wouldn’t it be great if Melania Trump showed up at the #StateOfTheUnion holding hands with Robert Mueller?”

One user even referenced her refusal to stand when Trump discussed “faith and family,” during the address. What are your thoughts?
